The method

How We Rank Online Casinos in Mexico

This page sets out how we rank online casinos on our list of the best licensed sites in Mexico. Mexico’s consumer protection law asks that comparative advertising be truthful and verifiable (Article 32 of the LFPC), so every criterion below rests on something you can check yourself: the permit, the authorization for the domain and the conditions the operator publishes.

We do not play at the casinos to rate them and we do not report personal experiences. We compare what each operator puts in writing with what the regulator records.

Eligibility

Who Can Enter the Ranking: A SEGOB Permit and an Authorized Domain

A permit earns no points. It is the condition for being considered at all. A casino can appear only if it meets all of these:

  1. The DGJS, the gambling authority within Mexico’s Interior Ministry (SEGOB), marks its domain as operating on its list of authorized websites.
  2. The site shows its permit number and the DGJS authorization (oficio) for that domain.
  3. Its footer names the same permit holder as the DGJS list.
  4. Its permit and domain are not suspended.

A site that fails any of these is left out, whatever its bonuses or payment options. We also leave out offshore sites and the international version of a brand that runs an authorized .mx site. What a permit is, and how to read one, is covered on the Mexican gambling license page.

Criteria

The Five Criteria We Use to Compare Licensed Casinos

Among the sites that pass that filter, the order depends on five criteria, each scored from 0 to 10 from the operator’s own public pages.

1
Withdrawals

Up to 6 points for the shortest cash-out time the operator publishes: 6 for 24 hours or less, 4 for up to 3 days, 2 for up to 5 days and 1 for anything longer. Up to 4 more points for the number of withdrawal methods, counting up to five.

2
Deposits

4 points if the site takes SPEI bank transfers, 3 for credit or debit cards and 3 for paying in cash at OXXO or another convenience store with a payment reference.

3
Offer conditions

4 points if the welcome offer states its wagering requirement, 3 if it states how long it is valid, 2 if the operator publishes a summary of its terms and 1 if that summary includes the DGJS approval number. Clear conditions score, not the size of the bonus.

4
Responsible gambling tools

3 points for deposit limits, 3 for self-exclusion, 2 for stake limits and 2 for a self-test, as the operator describes them in its terms. With no national self-exclusion register in Mexico, these tools depend entirely on each casino.

5
Support in Spanish

The share of the operator’s support channels (live chat, email and phone) that serve players in Spanish. This criterion does not measure English-language support, which is not recorded in our data.

Weighting

How the Scores Add Up to a Casino Rating

All five criteria weigh the same, 20% each. We give no criterion extra weight so that the order does not lean toward one type of casino.

  • The rating is the average. The final score out of 10 is the mean of the criteria the operator publishes data for.
  • Missing data is left out, not scored as zero. If a casino publishes nothing for a criterion, that criterion drops out and the average comes from the others. A casino with no welcome offer does not lose points for not having one.
  • Crypto payment methods are not counted. Licensed Mexican casinos operate in pesos only.
  • Ties go to clearer terms. If two casinos score the same, the one with clearer offer conditions ranks higher.
  • One rating per casino. A casino’s score is the same on every page of this site.
Sources

Where the Ranking Data Comes From

We use three sources and no others:

  • the DGJS list of authorized websites, in its June 2026 version, together with the register of permit holders in its latest readable copy (December 2024);
  • each operator’s footer, terms and payment pages, read on its .mx site through a connection from Mexico;
  • our operator database, which is kept up to date from those same sources.

When a figure is not published, the table says “Not published”. We do not estimate it or fill it in from other websites. Most operators publish their terms in Spanish; the terms lines under the ranking are our English translation, and the operator’s own terms apply.

Reviews

When We Review the Casino Ranking

The ranking is reviewed when the data behind it changes. That includes a DGJS domain suspension, a change in the law and an operator leaving the market, as JackpotCity, Spin Casino, Coolbet and Crasher did. Casinos can join or leave the list as a result. The date of the last update is shown on the ranking page.

If you spot a figure that no longer matches what an operator publishes, tell us through the contact page and include the page where you saw it.

Commissions

Affiliate Commissions and the Order of the Ranking

Some links on the ranking page are affiliate links. If you open an account through one, the operator may pay us a commission. That commission does not change the order or the data. The ranking does include only sites we have an agreement with, because those are the ones we can link to. The directory of licensed casinos lists every authorized site, with or without an agreement.

We do not speak for SEGOB, the DGJS or any industry association. The ranking is ours, and its only basis is what this page describes. The full affiliate terms are in our terms of use.

Questions

Questions About How We Rank Online Casinos

Can a casino pay to move up the ranking?

No. Any affiliate commission plays no part in the order, which depends only on the five criteria on this page.

Why is a licensed casino missing from the ranking?

Usually because we have no affiliate agreement with it, or because data we need to compare it is missing. If its domain is authorized, it still appears in the full list of licensed casinos.

Does a high rating mean a casino is safe for me?

No. A rating compares published conditions among sites that all hold a permit. It says nothing about whether gambling suits your budget; the responsible gambling guide covers that side.
